Prior to booking, we will schedule a quick phone consultation to discuss your ideas and expectations and make sure we are a good fit for your needs. This is also a time where we can answer any questions you have about our process, products, and pricing.

Once you are officially on the books, we will get to work planning your session! Your clothing is an important aspect of your session and plays an important role in how your portraits turn out. We will provide styling guidance and access to our client wardrobe to help make the portraits of your dreams come true.

Portrait sessions will take place at an agreed upon location, either indoors or outdoors (depending on session type). You will be guided throughout the photoshoot with posing cues and prompts to help you feel comfortable and focus on the connection between yourself and your loved ones. With newborns, we will also wrap and pose the baby in simple poses.

After your session, we go through every image and select the best shots to present to you. Our base retouching involves editing the images for optimal color and exposure. Light skin retouching is available for purchased images upon request. More extensive retouching is available at an additional cost.

This is the most fun part of the process! Approximately 1-2 weeks after your photo session, you will have a chance to view the photos from your session and select your favorites. You will have a chance to pick out your keepsakes and we can even start the design for an album or visualize what wall art will look like on your own walls with our special software.
